Experiencing Bethoven’s Ninth Symphony

In this year there is the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven’s birth!

You can watch a video of deaf people experiencing Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony by following the link above. One of the protagonists is Paul Whittaker OBE, a deaf British Musician who founded the charity ‘Music and the Deaf’ to help deaf people to learn enjoying music. He also organises ‘Feel the Music’ workshops for deaf and hard of hearing children, along with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. It’s also worthy to mention that he has been awarded the OBE (Officer of the British Empire) in the field of music education by Queen Elizabeth II.

We are very excited watching the hard of hearing and deaf people who can feel and enjoy classical music!
