Dear members of the IFHOHYP community,

We have recently been informed that an organization called LGB Alliance UK has been using our #hear2stay campaign, which they are reprehensibly promoting as their own campaign. We are deeply saddened to hear about this situation. We would like to make clear that we are not affiliated in any way with this organization and do not endorse or support the positions they are taking.

International Federation of Hard of Hearing Young People (IFHOHYP) (IFHOHYP) is an international disability people’s organization that values everyone regardless of their gender or sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion or abilities. In accordance with our values, we created a campaign called Hear2stay in 2017 with the sole purpose to show that hard of hearing people can be active members of society with the same dreams and struggles like everyone else. We have dedicated a page depicting stories of hard of hearing people around the world, to inspire others in our community.

In these turbulent times where every bit of kindness is needed, we invite you to take action together by making Hear2stay a symbol for inclusion. Use the hashtag #hear2stay in conversations that promote awareness about building accessibility for hard of hearing people around the world. We appreciate your ongoing support.
