The youth department of Høreforeningen (The Danish Association of Hard of Hearing) and the Danish folk high school Castberggård, hereby invite all members of the International Federation of Hard of Hearing Young People (IFHOHYP) and all other hard of hearing young people to Summercamp from August 6th to 14th 2016 in Denmark.

We have room for 100 people, and the Summercamp Team welcomes everyone between age 18 and 35. 35 of the participants will be Danish and the rest will come from around the world.
Invitation to Summercamp 2016 - International Networking and Danish Culture
Since space is limited, this will be on a first-come, first-service basis upon receiving a submitted application and fee payment before the indicated deadline. The spoken language at the Summercamp is English, and the Team will encourage everybody to speak English regardless of native language.
High income/Danish members of Høreforeningen: 200 EUR (1500 DKK)
Middle income: 150 EUR
Low income: 100 EUR
Danish non-members of Høreforeningen: 2000 DKK
Participants will be expected to cover their travel and visa costs. The planning team will be able to help with visa applications if necessary.
Preliminary Programme and Arrivals/Departures
The programme of the Summercamp 2016 will last from August 8th to 12th 2016. During these days the participants will be introduced to Danish Culture and get internationally networked - all by social and physical activities and workshops. All activities will be fully accessible through the availabilities of palantyping and sign-language interpretation. The program of the summercamp will consist of both physical and social activities and will inspire networking, exchanges of experiences, and fruitful discussions amongst the participants. There will be time for a whole day field trip, and alongside these activities the participants will find plenty of time to network and relax.
Arrivals from Saturday 6th, 16:00 to Sunday 7th, 12:00.
From the Saturday 13th (after 12.00) to Sunday 14th (10.00 at the latest) the Summercamp Team says goodbye and see you again soon.
The Summercamp will be located at Castberggaard - a Folk High School and development center for the hard of hearing and Deaf people.
Arriving to Castberggård by car, the address is:
Østerskovvej 1, Urlev, 8722 Hedensted.
Castberggaard is surrounded by beautiful nature and has plenty of facilities, e.g. tennis courts, beach volley, petanque and a recreation area. Castberggaard is located in the small village of Urlev near Hedensted in Jutland.
Arriving to Denmark by train: The closest station is Vejle Station. Vejle Station is reachable from Copenhagen or Germany and the trans-European train lines.
Arriving by airplane: Billund airport is the closest airport and has several international arrivals. Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup) has the most arrivals and is about 3 hours in train. Train runs directly from Copenhagen Airport to Vejle Station. Pick-up busses will be arranged from Vejle Station and Billund airport. All participants will receive an email with practical information in which one can ask for a seat in the pick-up bus.
To participate in the Summercamp, please submit your application by July 1st 2016.
